All of KY HillBullies bull terriers are healthy and have great temperaments and confirmation. All sires and dams are AKC registered and come from champion bloodlines. The health and well being of our bull terriers and puppies always comes first. Our bullies get the love and attention that all dogs deserve and are true members of our families.

At KY HillBullies all sires and dams have DNA profiles on file with the AKC. The AKC has built the world's largest database of canine DNA profiles for parentage verification and genetic identity purposes. The DNA Profile Program is for owners and breeders electing to add value to their breeding programs by eliminating concerns or questions about identification and parentage. Comparison of the DNA profiles of a dam, sire, and pup(s) will determine, with greater than 99% confidence, whether the pups are from the tested dam and sire. The AKC DNA database examines the parentage of all AKC DNA Profiled registered dogs and litters whelped on or after January 1, 2000. For more information on the AKC DNA profile program click here.

The Bull Terrier, also known as The English Bull Terrier is the most unique breed of dog that I have ever owned. There is no other breed that I have owned that is more loving, loyal, playful and clownish, each with his own personality. The Bull Terrier is a friendly, feisty companion who's always happy to see you, and never one to take a backseat to anything. Thinking of Buying a Bull Terrier Puppy?

Buying a Bull Terrier Puppy is a huge commitment and there are many disadvantages to put you off; you really don't need the extra mess, you could do without the noise of barking, and you've got far better things to spend your money on. Before you write off the idea completely, you should consider some of the benefits of owning a dog that you may not be aware of.

Reduce Allergies
Research suggests that growing up in a house with dogs can reduce the risk of developing allergies. Studies have found that children who were raised in a house with two or more dogs had less risk of developing allergies than in children who were raised without pets.  

Healing
Bull Terriers are wonderful for relieving stress. Several studies have shown that by simply stroking your dog, you can lower your blood pressure. Other studies have found that dog owners recover faster from operations than patients without pets. 

Exercise
Walking is a great form of exercise and will help you burn calories. The trouble is it can be hard to find motivation to go out for a walk every single day. When you have a Bull Terrier, however, there is no choice. Even when it’s cold and raining outside, your furry friend still needs his daily walk. 

Sociable
You can never have too many friends and you will find that walking your Bull Terrier is a great way to meet new people. Dog-lovers can’t resist a pooch, especially a fun loving Bull Terrier. When you’re at the park and you see fellow dog-walkers, don’t be surprised if they stop to strike up a conversation with you. 

Teach Kids Responsibility
Bull Terriers are great for teaching kids to be responsible for another living being. Kids soon realize that their new four-legged companion relies on its human family for everything. They will learn that as long as they treat the dog with kindness and respect, the dog will love them unconditionally. Unlike complicated human friendships, there is no competition or sibling rivalry with a bull terrier. 

Company
With a Bull Terrier in the house, you’re never alone. As soon as you get home your faithful friend will rush to meet you, absolutely ecstatic that you have returned to him. No matter what you’re doing, whether it’s watching TV, reading a book, or cooking dinner, you will find your loyal bull terrier right by your side.   

While Bull Terrier Puppies or any other dogs should never be bought on a whim, if you know you can afford one and are prepared to commit to giving it a loving home for the rest of its life, the benefits of owning a dog far outweigh the inconvenience.
